Abide Brewing Company ~ Newnan, Georgia

The Abide Brewing Company in Newnan, Georgia is the very definition of the word small. In fact, Abide is the smallest Nano Brewery in Georgia and opens only a few days a month for tours and sampling.

Started by local home brewers Matthew Kapusta, Evan Scanlan, and Philip Leonard, Abide brewing is focused on Ales and other comfort beers that will appeal to mainstream beer aficionados.  Their year ’round offerings are all ales with ABVs ranging from 5.2% to 6%, including the Local Pale Ale, Coweta Common Ale, Brown’s Mill Brown Ale, and Asian Persuasion Ale.  Several rotating seasonal beers of various varieties are available periodically.

Big Beach Brewing Company ~ Gulf Shores, Alabama Opens Doors Oct 13, 2016

We took a road trip through Alabama to checkout that states craft beer industry. Recent changes in various laws there have helped foster in a new era in the brew business and led to new establishments popping up all across the Yellow Hammer State. While we were passing through Lower Alabama we discovered that the Big Beach Brewing Company was just a week from opening its doors.  So, we stopped in to visit with them and to snap a few shots.  We’ll be posting a VLOG soon, but wanted to give them a shout out on their Grand Opening today (October 13, 2016).

Congratulations and Cheers!

Bites – It’s All in the Name: Kid Cashew Restaurant ~ Charlotte, NC

If the name Kid Cashew confuses you, don’t fret. I asked one of the staff about where this unique moniker came from and found out that this Greek / Mediterranean restaurant’s name has a story.

Names aside, this is a fanatic restaurant with some of the most friendly staff you’ll find anywhere in Charlotte.
