What the Fries Food Truck ~ Charlotte, NC

Despite the unfortunate moniker “French” Fries, the Fry (aka French-Fried Potatoes, Finger Chips, Steak Fries, or Chips) is about as American as baseball and apple pie.

Simple, cheap, salty (or not), crispy (or not), wedged or straight cut, seasoned (or not), dipped, topped, smothered. There is no end to the ways that fries can be prepared; And, there are endless debates on what constitutes “Good” fries.

We aren’t here to debate fries, we want to celebrate these deep fried potato wonders in all their glory; and there is no better place to partake in papas fritas than at the What the Fries food truck in Charlotte.

We stopped in to visit with What the Fries owners Greg Williams and Jamie Barnes to find out what makes their fries so awesome and keeps their customers coming back for more!
