Food Truck Bites- Jive Turkey Legs ~ Charlotte, NC

Who doesn’t remember the thrill of visiting the carnival, fair, and amusement park for death defying roller coasters, goofy characters, and giant stuffed prizes? Over time, memories of those once dazzling spectacles often fade and the stuffed bears are thrown away, but the aroma of the food lingers on.

Hot dogs, turkey legs, cotton candy, nachos, and more. There’s something special about the taste and aroma of the treats we could only find under the Big Top that brought smiles to our younger selves. Those memories tend to resurface at local parades or sporting events, but more often than not the opportunity to taste those delectable foods from our youth are fewer and far between. That is until now.

LaTasha & Philip Webber, owners of the Jive Turkey Legs food truck in Gastonia, North Carolina, are on a mission to make Carnival food available whenever your heart desires. We stopped by to visit with these grown-up carnival fanatics about why they have dedicated their lives to reminding everyone that, on occasion, our food needs to be a little more fun.
