The Bites at Rocky’s Pizza ~ Huntersville, NC
Had a chance to stop by Rocky’s located at 10310 Wilmington Street in Huntersville. We were on our way back from a nice hot day in Cornelius and had pizza on our minds. I hadn’t heard of this particular pizza joint, but the mood was there so the short detour off the Highway 77 was a no brainer.
The Bites at Puka Dog ~ Koloa, HI
I hadn’t heard of Puka Dog before I was dragged here by a coworker. We were on Kauai for the day and had a very tight window for an opportunity to get a bite to eat I figured since we were in Lihue we’d checkout some joint in the area. But noooo. He had to drive us half way across the island to Koloa off of Poipu Road.
The Buzz at South Street Brewery ~ Charlottesville, VA
This was my first visit to Charlottesville, Virginia, so I was up for anything that involved trying out the local Craft Beer scene. I only had 2-hours and lots of ground to cover. I stopped at a gas station and asked some locals where I should head. More than a few of the patrons suggested South Street Brewery (Map) as a great one stop shop, so I jumped back in the car and we were off. Needless to say, I was not disappointed.
The Visit to The Peachoid ~ Gaffney, SC
It’s called the Peachoid, but all it is is a huge water tower just outside Gaffney, South Carolina that only recently came to national prominence. And, it is where our story began.
A little over four months ago we were taking a road trip to Spartanburg, SC to visit the RJ Rockers Brewing company when several friend, most notably my friend Todd, asked me if we had had the opportunity to see the big Peach.
